Pre-NOLA

Since Bonner Orientation in August, I have heard countless things about the freshman trip to NOLA. All of the stories and random memories that I have heard about here and there have been positive ones and usually accompanied by something along the lines of "that was the best trip". Now that the time has finally come to depart for the infamous NOLA trip, I am nothing but excited to see what is in store, and if this trip really lives up to all the hype around it! I am excited to explore and experience the culture of a city I have never been to, and spend quality time getting to know my classmates in a setting free of academic or daily bonner related stress. I am optimistic that we will bond not only socially, but through the service we do together. It is always rewarding serving alongside your friends, so I am eager to experience that in a place that is new. Ten days of service and bonding, how exciting!
