Pre Nola

After looking forward to the NOLA atrip for months,  it's surreal that it's actually happening right now! What I am looking forward to most on this trip is the service. After volunteering for months in Trenton, it's going to be interesting to experience volunteering in another state entirely. The volunteering jobs we will be doing are also going to be cool, since it involves for heavy labor which is unlike what I've been doing at the Food Bank, Shiloh, and the Bike Exchange. New Orleans contains a culture that is vastly different than that of New Jersey, so I'm so excited to experience the customs of the city and the environment as well! Finally, I am looking forward to bonding with my  fellow bonner freshmen. It's so great to have an opportunity to talk to people I usually am not able to see, while doing such amazing work together. I feel so lucky to be able to go on a trip like this! And I cant wait to see what lies ahead for me and my freshmen this week.
